They then proceed to toss the luggage bags, as well as several packages, onto the conveyor belt

Interest rates have hit rock bottom during this Covid-19 period! Many banks are offering rates as low as 1.6%! DBS even has a 5-year fixed rate at 1.8%, my personal favourite as I had a bad experience with floating Sibor 3M rates. The latter can spiral easily to 2.7% when the rates increase. And do you know the 2nd good news? MAS has waived TDSR and the need to top up 3% for investment homes refinancing from now till end of 2020. No need to think! Just quickly lock in the low rates.
