Sometimes, the best property decisions aren’t the ones we initially set out to make.
This case holds a special place in my heart because I had the privilege of guiding a kind, young lady through one of the biggest financial decisions of her life.
Our original plan was simple: find a 3-bedroom unit in the city fringe purely for investment growth.
But on the day we met, I asked her one question:
“Would you be open to exploring another development that offers strong long-term transformation and excellent rental yield in the CCR?”
She said yes.
By the second viewing, she had completely fallen in love with the development.
That’s when I discovered something I never knew before—it was actually her dream location.
She had always assumed owning a home there would only be possible much later because of affordability. Being able to show her that it was achievable today was one of the most rewarding moments for me.
What she eventually secured wasn’t just an investment.
It was a home with beautiful finishes, strong rental fundamentals for downside protection, exciting transformation over the next 8–10 years, and even breathtaking views overlooking Gardens by the Bay.
Moments like these remind me that real estate isn’t just about buying property. It’s about helping someone realise a dream they didn’t think was within reach.
And somehow, this transaction was completed on my birthday too. 🥹
