Second time on stage. I thought it will be easier to watch but I still teared a lil. My wife and I brought her down to Marina Square ourselves.

2 storeys full of strangers, hundreds of viewers - peering down onto the stage. The kind of moment that would rattle even most grown adults.

Chloe.. just held it together. Steady breadth. Picking up all Violin, Recorder couple months ago but she held her nerve today.

There’s something about watching your kid try, not win. Just try.

People ask how I fit these in between deals and negotiations. I don’t, I just don’t miss these performances. The listings and clients will still be there tomorrow - this won’t.

When you make it into the Top 600 for the Gala Award, you’re expected to use your video highlight to pitch your services, showcase your track record, and thank your clients.

Instead, I dedicated my airtime to a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old.

To my girls in 2042:
By the time you see this, you’ll be 18. I want you to know that Papa and Mama did the work, but you were always the inspiration. Every late-night strategy, every weekend viewing, and every hustle was to build a future you can stand firmly on.
In this industry, it’s easy to get caught up in the numbers, the rankings, and the next big launch.

But at the end of the day, my biggest “KPI” is being a dad you can be proud of when you grow up.

I bring my family to most areas I sell in — to actually live it.

The playground. The coffee shop. The Saturday morning vibes.

Because when you’ve felt a neighbourhood as a dad, you can speak to it as an agent — especially in areas where HDB supply is high and the market has soften.
