Almost midnight at KW’s first Excellence Night, and Melvin Lim walks over with that signature grin.
“So when are we going to have KW Heroes?” he asks, laughing.
Jeffrey from across the table chimes in: “Villain Holmes!”
For context: I co-founded a team back in 2015 that had “Hero” in the name. Melvin knows this. It’s a light jab, and I can’t help but smile.
Two months into my journey with Keller Williams Singapore, and I’m reminded why I made this move.
Real estate is one of the most expensive decisions Singaporeans make in their lifetime. Yet somewhere along the way, the industry shifted toward quick transactions—new launch after new launch, with the pressure to say yes to everything.
What drew me to KW was their willingness to take a consulting, data-driven approach. They’re not afraid to tell clients when a property isn’t a good buy.
Tools like the Command 10—a 10-point assessment framework—help us evaluate whether a property can deliver future profit.
Here’s what I’ve learned: I don’t need 100 tools. I need 3-4 effective tools that cover 90% of what clients truly need to buy a profitable home that grows with them.
Since joining, I’ve been working with clients I genuinely love—dual-income families, responsible parents who care about their children’s future and want to make informed decisions.
People who want a consultant, not just a salesperson.
This photo was taken at our first-ever Excellence Night at Pullman Orchard. To be part of this milestone with Melvin and the leadership team feels special.
Two months in, and it’s been exciting, fast-paced, and we’re breaking new ground.
So far, it’s been a pleasure.
Here’s to making better property decisions together.
