Alice is an old family friend and approached me for advice to assist her daughter, Joan
Joan and Tim are working parents in their 30s, with 3 young kids. Their current 4 room Punggol flat just achieved MOP and were exploring the option of either upgrading to a bigger flat OR to a condominium with facilities for their active growing kids.
They are anxious to move on but do not know how to get this upgrading going.
THEIR MAIN CONCERNS ARE:-
-They wanted a home near to the school the kids are attending;
-They definitely needed more space
- Affordability of the new home as they have limited cash
-They only want to shift house once as they have young kids
I empathize with their predicament and truly understood the need for space with young, active growing kids, at the same time, taking into consideration their constraints for monthly cashflow as well
After a few more meetings and drawing more understanding of their current work security and lifestyle, I understand their pain and struggle much better.

- upgraded to a bigger flat
- Minimal difference in monthly instalments, not to disrupt the monthly budgets of the family
- move house only once without paying addition for rental.
I was invited to their house-warming and seeing the smiles and glow on everyone’s face, they are obviously super happy with the additional space in the house
