After many years since my last award during my banking days, I’m truly grateful to receive this one.

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the decision I made to step into real estate.

It was a leap of faith into an industry I thought I understood well, having worked alongside agents for more than a decade. I entered with the intention of replicating what had worked for me previously, only to realise that every industry operates differently, and approaches that bring success in one may not translate directly to another.

What remained constant was the importance of having faith in yourself and not giving up, especially during moments of uncertainty.

I’m grateful to share that my first full year in real estate turned out better than I had personally expected. This was not achieved alone, but through the guidance, perspective, and support of people who played meaningful roles along the way.

My appreciation goes to JL, my mentor, for the steady guidance and patience throughout the journey; MN, who played an important role in how I entered this company; and DL, a close friend from my previous industry whose support and perspective have been invaluable. I’m also thankful for the guidance received quietly along the way from Mr J — whose influence on MN and DL is well known, and whose advice, though few in words, has always been timely and sound.

Lastly, to YDN, for the constant support from behind the scenes — steady, unwavering, and always there when it mattered.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this chapter. I’m grateful for the lessons, the trust, and the journey so far, and I look forward to continuing to grow in the year ahead.
