I almost didn't share this.
A client recently gave me a little token of appreciation, but honestly, it wasn't the gift that touched me most. It was the note that came with it.
“Tracy, thank you so much for all your help in finding and securing our new home. I truly appreciate your assistance throughout the process. My prayers were answered. It means a lot to me and my family in this new chapter.”
I read that a few times.
Because sometimes, in real estate, you can get so caught up in the calls, the paperwork, the viewings, the negotiations, the follow-ups and everything that goes into getting a transaction across the finish line that you forget what it actually means to the person on the other side.
For this family, it wasn't just about finding a property.
It was about a prayer being answered.
It was about a new chapter.
And I got to play a small part in that.
Yes, I came into real estate to make a living. Of course I did. But there is another part of this business that means so much to me.
Being able to help people.
When I can use my knowledge, experience, attention to detail and persistence to help someone get where they need to be, there is a personal satisfaction that money simply can't replace.
And believe me, real estate will test you.
There are difficult days. Difficult people. Transactions that don't work out. Situations that can leave you wondering why you do this sometimes.
But then something like this happens.
And you remember.
