One of those investors, Ken Chenault, chairman of venture capital firm General Catalyst and the former American Express CEO who is now on Chief’s board, says he was drawn to the membership approach. “What I look at in a [business] model is, is there an alignment around needs?” he tells Forbes. That’s the case with Chief, he says, plus “the members actually support each other. So it's not just that they're being handed a bunch of services. They're actually connecting.”
