The expert predicted that due to the rapid growth in real estate prices in Kiev, fewer people will be able to afford it.

"As a result, we will come to the conclusion that by the end of 2022 the indicators will return to the level of 2019: the sales rate will decrease from 67-68% to 40-45%, and the annual price growth will be 11-13%," the expert emphasized.
He also noted that today more than 40% of Ukrainians need their own housing, but only a few are able to afford it - 3-5%.
"At the same time, the decline in housing prices in hryvnia is unlikely - the growth in the well-being of the population does not keep pace with the rise in real estate prices. If prices continue to rise at the same rate, fewer and fewer people will be able to afford to buy an apartment," the source said.
About 67% of Ukrainians rent real estate
According to the OLX survey, about 67% of Ukrainians rent out a variety of real estate from apartments to technical premises.
The survey also found that 9% of landlords believe that every tenant is a problem.
The main income is renting out real estate only for 29% of the respondents. The remaining 71% said that it only acts as financial support.
