Fashion is the short-term dominance of a certain taste in a certain sphere of life or culture. In contrast to the concept of style (from the Latin stylus — a stick for writing) — a set of characteristic features of literature or art of one or another era or science, fashion characterizes short-term and superficial changes in the external forms of household objects and works of art. In the narrower sense, fashion refers to a change in forms and patterns of clothing that occurs over a relatively short period of time.
