We are hosting a low-cost pet vaccine clinic on Sunday, February 8 from 2-4 PM at Barrow County Animal Control in Winder. We will also offer microchipping for dogs and cats. All dogs and cats at least six weeks of age are welcome; Barrow county residency is not required. Payment must be made in cash. PLEASE NOTE — if your pet cannot maintain decorum in line around other people and pets and be easily handled by our veterinary staff, we will unfortunately be unable to serve you.

This is an indoor event so don’t let the threat of rain prevent you from coming.

We will also be scheduling appointments for low-cost spay/neuter.

Cartersville council members approved a resolution for a $100,000 homestead exemption for Cartersville homeowners during their meetingThursday night. This next goes to state legislators and if approved, voters in November. Council members also heard from a resident of Deerfield Estates who said juveniles from a nearby apartment complex cut a hole in her fence and potentially caused $8,000 in property damage. While complimenting the Cartersville Police Dept, she is asking the city of Cartersville to take action that results in more than a “slap on the wrist”. The City of White (off exit 293) is hosting their first ever trunk or treat on Halloween night from 5:30-8. 29 W Rocky St. White, Ga 30184. You can expect a night of fun and crafts for the kids as well, JEP's Farm will be attending with a couple animals, BACA (Bikers against Child Abuse, Acworth Chapter) will be attending with several hot rods. The city is asking for more trunks for the event! There is no fee to be a part of this!
