Daylight saving time starts at 2 a.m. tmr Sunday, March 9. That’s when we will “spring forward,” & move our clocks ahead one hour, shifting more daylight hours into the afternoon & evening & costing us an hour of sleep Saturday to Sunday. DST will be the rule until we “fall back” & set the clocks back an hour on Nov 2.

Why I Am Faux Pa

I know some of you are probably wondering why anyone would name their company Faux Pa. Especially since the well known French term, faux pas, means social misstep. Some would say that would not be a reassuring brand name.

When I first decided to start my own business, I knew that I wanted a name that reflected me and my values. A name that would show who I was, as a person.

As the stepfather of four wonderful children, I am blessed with a family I never expected.

When my first granddaughter was born in 1993, there was some discussion about what she would call me, since she had two biological grandfathers already. My youngest daughter jokingly suggested Faux Pa. We laughed about it, but somehow the name stuck. Now 26 years later I find myself the proud Faux Pa of 9 beautiful granddaughters, a wonderful grandson, 3 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
