Well, there are showers in the area, it is cloudy and cool, and the Texas Drought Monitor looks pretty good for our area around Albany! Here's hoping for a rainy fall and ranch management focused on keeping green grass in front of the cows and not counting hay bales!!

Meet Will Cradduck! Will combines land management expertise and a love for the outdoors at Ekdahl Real Estate. Raised on a ranch in Aspermont, Texas, he holds degrees in animal science, animal nutrition, and agronomy from Texas Tech University. Will has worked on the Texas Alliance for Water Conservation and with cattle producers to optimize land use.

He also manages the Texas Longhorn Herd for the Texas Historical Commission. Will lives in Albany, Texas, with his wife, Nikki, and their children. Colonel Wash Bryan bought the present location of the T-Diamond Ranch in Stonewall and Fisher counties in 1893. The T-Diamond cattle herds ranged from Haskell to San Angelo, and numbered as many as 20,000 head. His son John Bryan made one trip up the Great Western Trail with a herd of cattle to Dodge City in 1880, one year after the T-Diamond operation relocated from Falls County to Jones County. Cowboys on the T-Diamond would occasionally take a long weekend and make the 55-mile trip due east to Fort Griffin, carousing in the many saloons for a break from life on the prairie!
