A small detail with a big story ✨

Adobe nichos have been a part of New Mexico architecture for centuries. Originally built into thick adobe walls, these recessed alcoves were often used to display religious items, treasured keepsakes, or meaningful works of art.

Today, nichos remain a beloved feature of Southwestern homes, blending history, culture, and craftsmanship. One of our favorite details at the casita, it’s a small reminder of the rich traditions that make New Mexico so unique. 🫶🏼

What began as a 1950s adobe casita in Albuquerque’s North Valley has become a labor of love for our family. We thoughtfully refreshed the space to preserve its authentic New Mexico character while adding the modern comforts travelers appreciate.

Today, it’s a cozy home base for exploring Old Town, Balloon Fiesta, the Bosque, and everything that makes Albuquerque special. ☀️

Hello! 👋 We’re Linda & April, a mother-daughter duo with a love for travel, bucket list experiences, warm hospitality, and the beauty of New Mexico, along with our husbands, Kurt & Karl.

As frequent travelers and self-proclaimed expert vacation rental guests ourselves, we’ve always appreciated the little details that make a stay feel personal and memorable. HUMM Hospitality was created from our love of hosting and our deep roots in Albuquerque’s North Valley.

April grew up just around the corner from our first property, the casita, where Linda still lives today, making this project especially close to our hearts. 🤍
