Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. 🇺🇸

It’s a day to recognize the American labor movement and the generations of workers who fought for safer workplaces, fair wages, reasonable working hours, and greater protections for working families.

Here in Northern Virginia, our communities are powered every day by teachers, first responders, public servants, military and federal employees, healthcare workers, tradespeople, small business owners, and so many others who help keep our region moving.

This Labor Day, I’m grateful for the workers, past and present, whose efforts have helped shape the communities across our country.
