BE AWARE: With the storms that hit recently in NTX, there will be many out of town roofing companies in our area over the next several weeks. Some reputable, others not so.
A few questions to ask:
1) Are they insured
2) Are they locally owned and operated/available after the season to do any necessary re-inspects if issues arise
3) Are they registered with the city based on previous builds
4) Do they offer their services during the time of your adjuster appointment
5) Do they offer a guarantee on workmanship as well as materials
6) Do they require a contract up front

On a serious note…Think hail is the only thing that ruins a roof? Think again. 🌪️
Most homeowners wait for a hailstorm to check their roof, but high winds can be just as destructive—and a lot more subtle. While hail leaves “bruises,” wind creates structural “lifts” that you might not see from your driveway.
Here’s what wind actually does to your roof:
* Breaks the Seal: Winds as low as 50 mph can lift shingles just enough to break the adhesive seal. Even if they lay back down, that seal is gone, leaving you vulnerable to the next rain.
* The “Crease” Effect: When wind flips a shingle up and down repeatedly, it creates a permanent crease line. This weakens the shingle until it eventually snaps off.
* Edge & Ridge Attacks: Wind creates “uplift” at the corners and ridges of your home, often peeling back the flashing and exposing your roof’s “skeleton” to water.
If you have any concerns that our current weather has affected your roof, give us a call for inspection!

Cleaning for the Spring
Here are some ways you can prepare your roof for Spring storms:
1️⃣ Check for any missing, curled or damaged shingles
2️⃣ Inspect flashing (metal) around vents and chimney
3️⃣ Trim overhanging tree branches
4️⃣ Clear out gutters and downspout
5️⃣ Clear debris from valleys
When in doubt, allow us to check it out! Give us a call to set up an inspection.

Originally named Armistice Day, November 11 commemorated the end of WW1 as the armistice signed with Germany took effect at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Later, in 1954, it was renamed Veteran’s Day to include veterans of all wars as a day to recognize the patriotism, courage, and willingness of veterans to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
We thank, wholeheartedly, the men and women who so bravely and selflessly serve/have served our country!

Being part of The Sam Osborn Memorial Golf Tournament, benefitting The Muscular Dystrophy Association, is something so near and dear to our hearts. Sam was an extraordinary young man who continues to touch lives every day, and we count ourselves blessed to have known him. Spending the weekend in Nebraska (GO HUSKERS) with new friends, and friends who are our family, raising money for a GREAT cause is DEFINITELY part of Living A Great Story!
See y’all next year ⛳️
