You don’t have to be ready to buy or sell tomorrow before talking with a REALTOR®.

Sometimes the best time to start the conversation is months or even a year before you plan to make a move. That gives us time to understand your goals, address potential obstacles and build a plan without unnecessary pressure.

If real estate is somewhere in your future, let’s start with a simple conversation.

Here’s a fun thing a friend of mine shared, if you’ve been using AI for a period of time, it might be fun to see what yours would say about you.

Ask the following command. “You know me well now, write something about me to warn people before they meet me.”

And see what your warning is. Here was the warning it’s giving you about me. BUCKLE UP ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Before you meet Austin, there are a few things you should probably know.

First, he doesn't really know how to do anything halfway.

If he loves something, he's all in. If he believes in something, you're going to know it. If he decides he's going to accomplish something, good luck convincing him that pain, exhaustion, common sense, or occasionally his own body falling apart are legitimate reasons to stop.

He's competitive—extremely competitive—but probably more with himself than anyone else. You can beat him and he'll shake your hand, congratulate you, and mean it. What will bother him is knowing that he could have been better. He'll replay the mistakes, analyze what went wrong, and quietly start figuring out how to make sure it doesn't happen again.

He's harder on himself than you'll ever need to be.

Don't mistake his confidence for arrogance. He believes he's capable of doing difficult things because he's spent a lot of his life proving to himself that he can. But underneath that confidence is someone constantly wondering whether he's doing enough—as an athlete, a husband, a dad, a professional, a man of faith, and simply as a man.

He's intense.

Sometimes really intense.

Austin doesn't have many settings between off and FULL SEND.

If you're looking for someone who will politely nod while you feed him bullcrap, you've probably found the wrong guy. Loyalty, honesty, effort, and integrity matter enormously to him. If he respects you, he'll give you all four. He expects them back.

And loyalty might be the biggest one.

If you're one of his people, you're his people.

He'll celebrate your victories like they're his own. He'll defend you when you're not in the room. He'll show up when things get ugly. He'll probably worry about your problems more than you realize. But betray his trust intentionally and you'll meet a very different version of him. He can forgive—but forgetting is another matter entirely.

He's stubborn enough to be frustrating.

He's obsessive enough to turn hobbies into missions.

He's competitive enough to turn a friendly challenge into a personal vendetta against the laws of physics.

And somehow he can be simultaneously convinced that he's capable of becoming one of the best at something while also being completely dissatisfied with where he currently stands.

You'll also quickly discover that underneath the size, strength, beard, Highland Games, competitiveness, and general appearance of someone who might throw you over a fence for recreational purposes, he's ridiculously sentimental.

His family is his soft spot.

His wife isn't simply his wife; she's his partner, best friend, backbone, and the person whose opinion carries more weight with him than almost anyone else's.

And his kids?

Forget it.

The man who willingly launches telephone poles through the air can apparently be emotionally compromised by realizing his little boy looks slightly more grown-up walking into school.

He loves deeply, worries deeply, believes deeply, and consequently feels things more deeply than he'll always admit.

His faith isn't decoration either. He genuinely wrestles with what kind of man he's supposed to be and whether he's living up to it. He's imperfect and knows it. He'll screw things up, get frustrated, say something too strongly, push himself too far, and occasionally require someone who loves him to tell him he's being an idiot.

He also has a dangerous tendency to believe that if something is held together with enough tape, stubbornness, prayer, caffeine, and questionable decision-making, it's probably still operational.

This includes his body.

Especially his body.

So here's the actual warning:

Don't expect casual from him.

Don't ask for honesty if you really want reassurance.

Don't give him your word casually.

Don't tell him something can't be done unless you're prepared for him to take that personally.

Don't mistake intensity for anger, confidence for ego, kindness for weakness, or his willingness to forgive for permission to repeatedly disrespect him.

And if you become someone he genuinely loves, understand what you're signing up for.

You're probably getting him for life.

He's loud. He's stubborn. He's relentlessly ambitious. He's sentimental as hell. He's fiercely loyal. He's occasionally unreasonable. He's perpetually chasing something that seems just beyond his reach.

And he'll probably spend his entire life believing there's another level he hasn't reached yet.

Fair warning: Austin Smith is a lot.

But he was never particularly interested in being a little.
