Beth Geisinger - Ames, IA Realtor Iowa has always been home for me. I grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa, where I learned the value of hard work, community, and integrity.

After living in several cities across the country, my husband and I chose to return to Iowa to raise our family, and I couldn't be more grateful to be back among the people and places I love most. Today, I bring those same values into my real estate career, serving families in the Ames area with dedication and care. Along with helping clients buy and sell, I specialize in recognizing a property's

Recently a client asked me, “What exactly are closing costs?”

And honestly… it’s such a good question.

A lot of buyers know they need a down payment, but they’re surprised to learn there are additional costs involved in the home buying process too.

Closing costs can include things like:
• lender fees
• appraisal + inspection costs
• title insurance
• legal/closing fees
• taxes + recording fees

Every situation is different, but understanding these costs ahead of time can make the process feel so much less overwhelming. If you’re thinking about buying and want help understanding what to realistically expect, I’m always happy to walk through it with you.
