What could you build if you kept more of what you earned?
More marketing. Better technology. A stronger database. An assistant. More education. Another investment property. Retirement savings. A college fund. A family vacation. Maybe just a little more breathing room.
Every dollar you earn has the potential to do something for you.
Yet in many traditional brokerage models, the more successful you become, the more money you hand back to the brokerage. Your production goes up, your commission goes up, and so does their share.
But here is the question:
Does your broker know your business plan better than you do?
Do they know where your next dollar would have the greatest impact?
Probably not.
You might need to invest $10,000 into marketing this year. Another licensee might need an assistant. Someone else might want to buy a rental property, pay off debt, build retirement savings, or simply spend more time with their family.
There is no ONE right answer.
That is the point.
When you keep more of your commission, you get to decide where that money goes. You get to invest in the areas of your business and your life that create the greatest return for YOU.
A brokerage should provide the tools, technology, support, training and environment to help you succeed.
But your success should ultimately give you more choices, not just create a bigger brokerage bill.
You worked for the commission.
You built the relationship.
You earned the business.
Maybe it is time to ask yourself a simple question:
If I kept more of what I earned, what could I build with it?
