A second showing is your chance to slow down and look at the details your first visit may have skipped.
Bring your must-have list, then check:
• Storage: closets, pantry, garage, attic, and linen space
• Room flow: where furniture would go and how daily life would move through the home
• Natural light and privacy at different windows
• Signs of moisture, odors, cracks, or uneven floors
• Major systems: ask about the age and condition of the roof, HVAC, water heater, and appliances
• Outside: drainage, yard upkeep, driveway condition, and nearby noise
• Your deal-breakers: the things that would still matter after the excitement wears off
You do not need to diagnose every issue on a walkthrough—that is what inspections are for. The goal is to decide whether the home still fits your needs once you are looking with a calmer, more practical eye.
Save this checklist for your next showing.
