DUTCH GABLE Roof is a roof that combines a hip roof and a traditional gable roof. The smaller part of the gable roof is called the gablet. The are recorded as being around in the 14th century.
A potential issue with Dutch gable roofs is there needs to be adequate support to the frames. As with any change in roof design, leakage is a possibility.

Wall dormers are dormers that is flush with the side of the wall. They aren’t surrounded by roof, as most dormers are. Instead, they rise up from the wall. They do not sit on top of the roof, like other styles. They could include the different dormer designs. That could include arched top, shed roof, and hip roof. Wall dormers are found in houses of many styles, including Gothic Revival, Romanesque and Mission.
As with other dormers, voids that are subject to leaks are possible.

Their design allows them to frame views beautifully, and they can also be found on homes where roofing shingles curve around eaves, emulating a thatched appearance.
Eyebrow dormers enhance a home's character, but they might come with a few challenges. The transition between the dormer and the roof should be considered a valley. These dormers tend to be shingled separately from the main roof, which can create potential weak points. The intersection where the dormer meets the roof is particularly vulnerable to leaks, especially under heavy rain or snow.
