This dogwood try started dying two weeks ago and my Japanese maple is completely dead this year and was healthy last year. Anyone else having tree issues like this? I see these fungus spots on both trees

This is from a flipped house in Riva, Maryland, that I was really impressed when I walked in immediately saw hardwood floors. This really happens anymore. Everyone uses vinyl which I’m not a big fan of. I’m surprised, though, that they didn’t do a better job playing the floor this is a very rookie mistake so the builder the flipper needs to find someone who actually knows how to lay down flooring overall, this house was really nice. It’s in Riva, Maryland, which is a great area.
