To Buy or Not to Buy? That seems to be the question one everyone’s mind.
I’m sure you’ve heard that the market is normalizing, but what does that mean for buyers?
1 - No more offering over asking price. Houses are taking a bit longer to sell these days, and this gives buyer excellent leverage when it comes to making an offer.
2 - Incentives for buyers! These days many builders are offering very attractive incentives to buyers, some examples include money towards closing costs, a new set of washer and dryer, ir free upgrades!
3 - Ability to negotiate. With houses receiving less offers these days, sellers are now open to negotiating, whether it’s on price of the home, repairs, and/or credits towards closing costs.
Now, before you start shopping, it’s important to know what you can afford.💰Knowing what you can afford starts with speaking to your mortgage broker.
