PRESIDENT TRUMP leaves Palm Beach this morning to give Remarks during an afternoon rally at the Truist Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

The President's Remarks will be featured in the rally, to include U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, GOP candidate for the Senate seat of retiring Senator Mitch McConnell, and Ed Gallrein, running for the U.S. House.

Later, The President returns to Palm Beach.

Ambassador Gingrich was pleased to welcome Ambassador Barbera Thornhill, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, to Bern for an important discussion with Swiss federal and cantonal officials on combating human trafficking.

Good news and bad news…

Our fox Mira (Fox #100) passed her clotting test today! She has been on vitamin K treatment for rat poison for over 5 weeks now and her blood is finally clotting normally without treatment.

With mange treatment and rodenticide treatments complete, she is ready for release.

Unfortunately, the law states she must be released within 5 miles of where she was found or 5 miles of our facility.
Well, she was found very close to our facility, so legally she should go back where she was found.

We treated her for the secondary poisoning but, unfortunately, our state still allows these potent poisons and we are forced to release her back into an environment where she will likely be poisoned again. She is only about 9 months old and didn’t deserve what happened to her

The more our carnivores do to help us with the rodent problem, the more they are exposed to secondary rat poison - which means the sicker they get. The rats and mice eat the poison and the foxes, coyotes, bobcats and raptors eat them.

Your animal welfare groups - ALL OF THEM - have been begging the state to change this. Unfortunately no changes have been made and I don’t know what to tell this little fox.

All I can say is, if and when it happens to her again, we will be here. We will absorb the time and money needed to save her over and over again if needed. We will do this with no financial support from those in power who continue to allow these poisons to harm our wildlife.

The one thing we can’t do is prevent the suffering she will endure each and every time this happens to her. We can only do that through real change that those in power must make. The Massachusetts pesticide Board Subcommittee has been made aware of this and was asked by Harvard Animal Law to stop the use of these poisons over two years ago. They never even answered the petition.
