FD Stonewater acquired the property in 2014. At acquisition, the tenant was Alliant Techsystems (ATK). ATK merged with Orbital Sciences Corporation ➡️ Orbital ATK ➡️ Orbital ATK was then acquired by Northrop Grumman. Northrop Grumman was awarded multiple defense contracts that necessitated a significant facility expansion. Our development team managed the highly secure and specialized build-out and increased the building to 160,500 SF to support the tenant’s critical mission at the property.

We’re proud to celebrate the substantial completion of the new U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District Headquarters! This 180,000 SF ground-up build-to-suit facility is located on the southeast portion of the historic Mobile Civic Center site and anchors this section of the City of Mobile, AL’s master plan. The new headquarters will support the agency’s future growth and includes secure space with onsite amenities.

Congrats to all involved in bringing this project to life and thank you to our incredible project team for their hard work and tireless dedication. We are proud to be a part of it!

This newly completed 45,000 SF facility will be home to Somerville’s four fire companies, police headquarters, Office of Emergency Management, and elements of the Rescue Squad.
