The Mid-Atlantic Vollapalooza was a huge success, with associates across the region coming together to support organizations making a meaningful impact in our communities. 💙

From park cleanups to volunteer efforts supporting food access, hygiene products, housing, education, and family resources, teams partnered with organizations including A Wider Circle, Martha’s Table, True Ground Housing Partners, Habitat for Humanity and Planting Words.

In addition, volunteers supported Sunrise Day Camp, helping provide free camps for children with cancer and their siblings.

We’re proud of the collective impact our associates made together and grateful for the organizations making a difference across the Mid-Atlantic.

AvalonBay’s Asian Pacific Associate Connection (APAX) Mid-Atlantic chapter partnered with The Very Asian Foundation for a book donation and reading event at Barcroft Elementary School in Arlington, VA. 📚

Together, this effort supports the , helping expand access to Asian American youth literature and promote more inclusive school libraries.

In recognition of , teams across our organization came together to reinforce our continued commitment to Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work, marked by this year’s theme, “All In Together.”

Focusing on the pillars of Recognize, Respond, and Respect, safety stand downs were held at all new construction sites, giving teams time to pause work, discuss potential hazards, and align on planning and controls.

These conversations reinforced the importance of early hazard recognition, strong pre-planning, and shared responsibility to reassess and adapt when conditions change, strengthening our commitment to safety every day. 🦺

Associates in the Pacific Northwest came together for Vollapalooza to give back in a big way, putting our values into action alongside local nonprofit partners.

From preparing meals at Ronald McDonald House Charities and supporting Treehouse’s work for youth in foster care to helping with a cleanup at the Danny Woo Community Garden, creating birthday cards through Birthday Dreams, and lending a hand at the Sammamish Animal Sanctuary, the impact was felt across our local communities.
