Hadley Cropp Realtor Realtor, ePro, Licensed GC in Asheville, NC During college I discovered a love for travel. Since then I have bought and sold numerous properties personally.

Born and raised in Asheville, I graduated from Asheville High School, and then received a BA in Communication from North Carolina State University. I spent a summer in London studying cultural arts, and a semester at sea, where we went around the world in 100 days, stopping at 10 countries along the way. A self-professed nomad, I spent many years after college traveling, exploring and working in s

ales for cityseach.com during the internet boom. This great job allowed me to live in a lot of amazing cities across the country including Denver, Phoenix, Portland, Cleveland, Miami and finally landing in Los Angeles. After all my travels I realized that there is no place like home and moved back to NC, first stopping in Wrightsville Beach for several years. Once back in North Carolina I became interested in construction and received my NC General Contractors license in 2004. Because of my experience with buying and selling property myself, I can empathize with the excitement and sometimes stress that goes along with such a big decision and investment. I have found blending my experience of construction with real estate has really helped me provide the best service possible. I am excited to be back home with my long time friends and most importantly with my family. Just recently Asheville was named the Happiest Place in America by 20/20 according to the book "The Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weiner, and I believe it! "I would be thrilled to help you Find Your Bliss".

Every year, since 2021 one of my favorite traditions at Asheville Realty Group is putting together our annual Scout Guide Page.

This year’s theme is Friends and honestly, it couldn’t be more fitting.

My husband Kevin is always popping into our Merrimon office, and without fail, he’ll look around and say, “This place is like an episode of Friends.”

And he’s not wrong.

There’s always someone dropping by to chat, a client turning into a friend, laughter coming from down the hall, coffee being shared, and a team that genuinely enjoys doing life together. Some days it feels less like an office and more like Central Perk with real estate contracts.

That sense of connection is what inspired this year’s Scout. Because while we love helping people buy and sell homes, what makes this business special are the relationships built along the way.

So if you’ve picked up this year’s Scout Guide, you’ll see a celebration of the people, places, and community that make Asheville feel like home and the friendships that make it all worthwhile.

Here’s to another season of gathering around the table, cheering each other on, and proving that great things happen when good people come together.

If you are looking to buy or sell, we stand ready to help you. Let us put our experience to work for you.👇

Taylor Swift didn’t become a phenomenon because she just showed up on stage.

She became one because every detail of the experience feels intentional.

That’s exactly how I think listings should feel.

Anyone can unlock a door and walk someone through a house.

But the agents who consistently win listings — and get them sold — know how to create an experience around the showing.

The playlist softly playing when buyers walk in.

The lights already on before sunset.

Fresh flowers in the kitchen.

A handwritten neighborhood guide.

Knowing exactly what features to highlight and when to stay quiet.

That’s not “extra.”

That’s value.

In today’s market, buyers have options and sellers are paying attention. They want to know: “What are you actually doing differently?”

Because adding value to a listing isn’t always about spending more money on marketing.
Sometimes it’s about creating a feeling people remember long after they leave the driveway.

Taylor Swift understands storytelling better than almost anyone.

Every tour, every era, every detail is curated to make people feel something.

Real estate works the same way.

The homes that stand out are rarely the loudest.

They’re the ones presented with intention, strategy, and emotion.

People don’t just remember square footage.
They remember how a home made them feel.

🍾 Another closing popped! I’ve got people… and apparently they deliver.

One of the biggest perks of nearly 20 years in real estate isn’t just knowing the market—it’s knowing the people.

One of my favorite things to say is:

✨ “I’ve got people for that.”

🎨 Need a paint refresh before listing?
💡 Want to swap outdated light fixtures for a quick modern update?
🚰 Need to fix that pesky leak?
📦 Ready to clear the clutter?
🔨 Need repairs completed during due diligence?
🏦 Want to compare lender options?
⚡ Need to confirm the electrical is safe and functioning properly?
🏠 Want a professional opinion on that foundation crack?
🧹 Need cleaners, landscapers, stagers, photographers, movers, handymen, or contractors?

I’ve got people for that. All of it.

And if, by some crazy chance, I don’t have the perfect person, I have an incredible team of 45 agents at Asheville Realty Group standing beside me—and trust me, they have people too.

The truth is, buying or selling a home takes a village. Over the years, I’ve built one that’s filled with trusted professionals, problem solvers, and genuinely good humans who help make the process smoother for my clients.

AI might have created this image in seconds, but it will never have my village on speed dial.

Experience has its perks.

I’d love for you to join my village. ❤️

Who’s celebrating your wins with you… and helping carry the weight during the hard seasons too?

That matters more than people realize.

Real estate can look polished from the outside — the closings, the listings, the “under contract” posts but behind every milestone are long days, tough conversations, unexpected pivots, and moments where having the right people around you changes everything.

That’s one of the things I’m most grateful for at Asheville Realty Group.

It’s a team that genuinely shows up for each other. The kind of people who celebrate your successes without competition, encourage you when things feel heavy, and remind you why you started in the first place.

In this industry, relationships are everything — not just with clients, but with the people beside you every day.

And honestly, I think clients feel that too.
They feel the heart behind the work.
The collaboration.
The care.
The culture.

Because when you’re surrounded by people who believe in doing the right thing, supporting one another, and showing up fully… it changes the experience for everyone involved.

Looking to have more support in your real estate journey? Let’s chat!

This spring has reminded me just how much I truly love what I do — the people, the stories, the strategy, the fast pace, the chaos… all of it.

From long days at the ARG office, quick resets at the gym, early morning showings, late night contracts, and helping families navigate huge life transitions — every day looks different, and that’s what makes it so meaningful.

There’s something incredibly special about a seller trusting me with one of their biggest assets, or helping a buyer find the place they’ll call home next. That feeling never gets old.

Real estate is so much more than transactions to me. It’s relationships, trust, problem solving, creativity, and showing up for people during really important moments in their lives.

And I’m especially grateful I get to do it all alongside the team at Asheville Realty Group.

So thankful for this busy season and everyone in it.

Testing the market doesn’t make you more money… it usually costs you money.

In today’s Asheville market, buyers are informed, watching closely, and comparing everything. The moment a listing hits the market overpriced, it can lose momentum before it ever has a real chance.

Here’s what happens when a home is priced too high:
• Fewer showings
• Less urgency from buyers
• Longer days on market
• Price reductions later
• More negotiating power handed to buyers

And the biggest mistake sellers make?
Thinking they can “leave room to negotiate.”
The reality is… the best offers usually come when a home is positioned correctly from day one. Buyers notice value. They also notice hesitation.

In a market shifting toward balance, pricing is marketing.

The homes that stand out are the ones that feel intentional, prepared, and aligned with the current market — not aspirational pricing based on last year’s headlines.

Your home only gets one first impression.
The goal isn’t to chase the market… it’s to stay ahead of it.

If you’re thinking about selling in Asheville and want a strategy built around today’s market (not yesterday’s), I’d love to help.

The April Buncombe County Market Snapshot is here.

And overall, the market continues to move toward something much more balanced than what we experienced during the post-Covid frenzy.

Buyer activity is still strong with pending sales up 31.3% year-over-year in April, but buyers are moving with far more intention, patience, and scrutiny around pricing and condition.

At the same time:
• Inventory is continuing to rise
• Homes are taking longer to sell
• Negotiation is becoming more common again
• Accurate pricing matters more than ever
The biggest shift I’m seeing?

Buyers are no longer rushing just to secure anything. They’re willing to wait for the right fit and move on quickly from homes that feel overpriced or poorly positioned.

For sellers, this means strategy and preparation truly matter. This is not the market to “test” pricing and hope buyers compete it upward later.

For buyers, there may be more opportunity than you think. If a home checks most of your boxes but feels slightly out of reach, thoughtful negotiation can still go a long way in today’s market.

We’re also continuing to see outside factors impact confidence — inflation concerns, insurance conversations, market volatility, and even lingering effects from Helene are still shaping how people approach buying in Western North Carolina.

The market is still active. It’s just become far more thoughtful.

And honestly?
That’s not necessarily a bad thing.

If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or simply trying to better understand what’s happening in Asheville right now, Asheville Realty Group would love to help you navigate it.

Inventory is growing, buyers are taking their time, and homes are no longer selling simply because they hit the market.

In a shifting market like this, pricing, presentation, marketing, and strategy matter more than ever.

If you’re a seller, your home can’t just be on the market… it needs to stand out in the market. Buyers are comparing every detail right now — condition, staging, photography, updates, curb appeal, even how a home feels online before they ever schedule a showing.

The homes winning today are the ones that are:

✨ Properly prepared
✨ Thoughtfully marketed
✨ Strategically priced
✨ And presented as the obvious choice

The good news?

Buyers are still buying.

Homes are still moving.

And Asheville continues to be a place people deeply want to call home.

But this market rewards sellers who are intentional, proactive, and willing to position their home competitively from day one.

That’s where we come in!!!

At Asheville Realty Group, we believe exceptional marketing and smart strategy aren’t optional — they’re essential.
