The SLA is excited to announce that ice-out’s official date is today, April 13, 2026!

Ice out has historically defined as being able to boat between Ashland beach and Sandwich Bay. We’re confident the ice officially went out today sometime after lunch, with the last ice section in Sandwich Bay.
