The best part of real estate investing for me is the opportunity to be creative, have fun and show some love to homes that have been neglected. Having the vision to see what something could become with a lot of love and being a part of that transition makes me happy!

Did I use cedar for posts on a RENTAL!? Yep! Did my husband and contractor think I was crazy? Yep! But I love every bit of my new porch! :)

There's still more exterior work to be done, we now have to move to the landscaping portion. I'm so happy with how this project has turned out and grateful for my husband, team of unofficial advisors (aka friends) and the contractors who made my vision a reality!

So…I posted my studio on AirBnB and had 3 booking inquiries in less than 24 hours! We’re now booked for the next 3 months at $3800. I’m not sharing this to brag, I’m sharing this to motivate. If you are on the fence about AirBnB, get off! AirBnB is amazing and provides wonderful opportunities for both the host and the guest!

The design piece was fun! Trying to figure out hire to create a separate living room space and bedroom (and be stylish) was a challenge. And trying to do it on a budget….😱😱😱!

We have curtains to hang in the living room and a tile backsplash to put in the kitchen but it’s ready to be posted on AirBnB while we finish our last few things! Next up…the 3/2 side!! Whew I’m tired y’all! 😅

Happy Holidays Y’all!! We are back on the grind. Our renovation will be completed in a few weeks! We’re just doing the finishing touches. Check out the BEFORE and AFTER of the house. I’m trying to decide if we leave the house completely white (monochromatic clean vibes) or whether we should paint the inner window sashes black to add just a little bit of color. Not painting the trim or the shutters.
