The last few years have taught me that when it is our time to leave this world no one can stop it. We have one life to live. The material things we invest in are left behind only to be discarded. Memories are important to me. I'm going to continue a "reunion of friends". The idea is to see who reads a post without a picture. If no one reads my post, this will be a very short PPP experiment. We just met a cousin that was adopted at birth and the biological mother never told my uncle that she was pregnant. He found us and you know we welcomed him and his family with open arms.

The end of my extraordinary journey to Ghana is near. As I sit remembering the events of the past 2 weeks, I am filled with emotions of pure gratitude. My ancestors survived horrific and unimaginable circumstances. Because of their strength and determination to live with the dream of someday returning home, I am here today, honored to be one of the descendants that has been blessed to fulfill their dream and mine.

The bus to Tamale, Ghana was on the airport tarmac and took us to the plane for the 1 hour plane ride from Accra.
