Realtor Deidra McDowell () had the pleasure to represent the buyer in this transaction.

The buyer is a first-time homebuyer who fell in love with the home the second she walked in the front door. What she was looking for was a modern renovated home which could serve as her primary resident in the current time and one she could transform into a short-term or long-term rental in the future.

The buyer also mentioned she decided she wanted to buy because the interest rates had gone down from when she originally began her house search. The buyer was also able to take advantage of a down payment assistance program which allowed her to bring less than $10,000 to the closing table.

She is now excited to be able to call this house her home. We look forward to seeing how this purchase will contribute to her generational wealth.

SOLD! Huge congratulations to my client who just purchased her first home! I am beyond proud ❤️ We have been talking about her journey to home ownership for some time and less than a month ago, she contacted me and told me she was ready. There’s nothing I love more than a prepared client. She reached out ready to go. On her first round of showings, my wonderful mentor/broker assisted me and by the time she reached back out to tell me how the showings went, we had already submitted our offer, that same evening we went under contract. Raquel, per usual thank you for your help, especially your mentorship on “bullet points” 🤭🤣 I learn from the best!

We were scheduled to close on the 26th of September but my superstar lender came through and worked some serious magic! My client came pre-approved, but was still exploring other lenders. After we had some unnecessary set backs from one lender, I called James immediately and in TWO DAYS my client was underwritten. Thank you!

Also, the only inspector I have ever worked with came through as usual. He assisted by doing a thorough inspection and provided us with the report in record time. He also came in at the last minute and did an additional inspection so my client can have a peace of mind. Thanks again Craig!

Realtor Deidra McDowell () represented the seller as the listing agent in this transaction.

This closing was 221 days in the making! Deidra listed this home back in October 2023 and in the midst of having it on the market, it was discovered the seller was behind on their mortgage payments and was at risk of foreclosure. The listing needed to come off the market to sort out everything. After getting the payments current, the seller decided they were ready to re-list the property in April 2024. After only a day on the market, a buyer who was previously interested in purchasing the property using seller financing, circled back and decided they would still like to purchase it.

Although this whole process was long and at times taxing, Deidra saw it through to the finish line and all parties are happy this is now officially closed.

When the tenants contacted Deidra to see if she knew of a rental property which may work for them because their previous lease was set to expire, Deidra thought this property would be a good fit. It turns out it was!
