There was a time when life and business looked a lot different for me. Showings used to be a family affair. Fast forward a few years and now it’s usually just my little sidekick and me riding from house to house, snacks in the car, conversations in between appointments, and him asking if every home we pass is “for sale.”
Almost his entire life, he’s watched me build this business. He’s been coming along with me since he was younger, and somewhere along the way, real estate became part of his world too. Now he truly believes he’s my real estate assistant. He wants to see every house, talks about lockboxes like he understands them, and thinks we can tour any home he spots that looks “cool”. And I love it.
This journey hasn’t been easy. There have been long days, hard seasons, and moments where I questioned myself more times than I can count. But looking back, I’m proud of what we’ve built together. Real estate has given me more than a career. It’s given me the opportunity to create a life where my son gets to witness resilience, hard work, and what it looks like to keep going even when life changes unexpectedly.
One day, I hope he remembers more than just the houses. I hope he remembers the laughs in between appointments, dance parties in the car, all the little moments in between that made the hard days worth it, and the looks he gives me walking into some of these older investment homes trying so hard not to say anything because I already gave him “the talk” in the car about being on his best behavior. 😂
Every family I help, every closing, every late night and early morning means a little more because of him. And I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who supports my business, trusts me through such a huge milestone, and allows me to continue building this life for us. 🤍
