Yes! If you need a little extra time before moving, you may be able to stay in your home after closing through a rent-back agreement.

This allows you to remain in the home for an agreed-upon period after the sale is complete while paying rent—or sometimes at no cost, depending on the terms negotiated in the contract.

A rent-back can be a great option if you're:
• Buying another home and need extra time to move
• Waiting on a new construction home to be completed
• PCSing and need more time

What should I fix before listing your home?

You don't have to complete a full renovation before putting your home on the market. In fact, some of the best improvements are the simplest ones.

Before listing, focus on:
• Fixing leaky faucets and running toilets
• Replacing burnt-out light bulbs
• Touching up chipped or peeling paint
• Repairing damaged flooring or broken fixtures
• Replacing broken fence boards or gates
• Cleaning gutters and pressure washing the exterior
• Trimming bushes and trees away from the home
• Addressing any obvious deferred maintenance
