Your reply to question #14. 160 citations were issued in 2025. On average, that is 13.9. Citations a month.
I just did not realize that the builders are so good at building a house with no issues (Wow) and by the code. I’m completely impressed. 4 Inspectors that would be 3.475 Citations per inspector. With roughly 5 weeks in a month (365 days in a year), that is 41.7 Citations per year. That is totally unbelievable. I know I could find 165 violations in less than a week.
Summary: You have made it clear that you will not speak to me in person, even though I am a taxpaying citizen who helps fund part of your salary. Like I told you the last time that we met in person. I am not a code Inspector, but I did pass the 3rd grade. And I know how to read and look at pictures, and I know when something is not right. From your last e-mail reply. Yes, every time I find a major issue, I will have to do an open record request. To get an answer out of you, that is not at all a problem. I know how to do them. I just cannot understand. In one whole year. There were only 167 citations issued. The last face-to-face meeting that we had. I inform you. If we could not work together. I would be taking this to the news media. It looks like a good time to get it started.
Please do not overload our inspectors. They’re already overworked.
The numbers do not add up.

Home inspections. Not only in Valdosta and Lowndes County. It’s nationwide. The new home construction industry. It’s not the same as it was 10, 20, 30 years ago. Every homeowner knows. There is something about the home they purchased that is not right. Well, I can say the homeowner is 100 percent correct. From what I am finding in Lowndes County. The brand-new homes that are being built. It has numerous problems that would take me a week to list the issues. I have inspected newly built homes and assessed their environmental and structural condition. That may be only a couple of people who have even looked at it. After the builder completed the homes. Nine out of ten homes would require substantial repairs. Not $100 repairs, but thousands of dollar repairs. Some environmental testing found that the home is unsafe to live in. Is your home? The home inspectors are giving good reports. So that the Contractor and the realtor can make the sale. You are not told in your inspection report about all the issues that most inspectors consider cosmetic. All homes that were purchased in the last 12 months had a home inspection. Before purchasing a used home that has had an Inspection. I will go over your report and give you an honest opinion on the findings, including what’s in the report and what’s not. Look at the pictures close Do you think they have any structural value? These are in the roof structure. Please tell me your opinion.
New built approved by Lowndes County inspections for certificate of occupancy.

In reference to the Old Time Restaurants on St Augustine Rd here in Valdosta. The news media has been notified and also Lowndes County Department of Health. As of today. I will guarantee you they will be serving meals all day impacting everyone that eats there.

I had lunch there today with two other people. The photos that were taken were taken at the very center of the dining room approximately 6 or 7 feet from the buffet table. This is the divider wall at the line of table from the buffet bar. From the growth rate of the Fungus (mold) it has been there for a while. It is right at eye level for most people. How did it pass the health department inspection obviously they did not do an inspection. A blind man could see it.. If it is this bad in the open, I would like to know what the other parts of the restaurant look like I have been doing mold inspections for over 30 years I have never seen a restaurant with mold like this. As close as this is to the buffet with the steam tables I would love to look underneath and test it. I will not speculate or guess what species of mole this is. From the characteristics of it it is something that you do not play with. Every person that has eaten there could very well be affected. I would advise anyone that has eaten there recently to get a blood test to see what fungus is in their blood system. I would enjoy doing a full inspection and testing on this property. Obviously, the local health department did not check it. They are about as good as the county Building inspectors. There is a lot of issues with this building that is clearly very open that indicate water in the building structure.
