Staging your home can make you money. According to the National Association for Realtors, 71% of seller's agents believe a well-staged environment increases the dollar value buyers are willing to offer. Here are 10 easy, low - or no - cost Staging strategies to get your home market-ready.

1. Declutter by boxing up personal items, books, or decor, and place them neatly in your garage or a storage unit
2. Pack up all but the clothes you're wearing this season to make your closets look larger.
3. Neutralize the walls by painting them beige, gray, or white.
4. Light it up with lamps. Chic lamps provide both added lighting and appealing decor.
5. Clear out countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, except one or two decorative items, like a fresh bowl of fruit or a vase of flowers.
6. Freshen up and modernize kitchen cabinets with a new coat of paint or stain and new hardware.
7. Scrub dirt, grime, and stained from walls cabinets,and backsplashes.
8. Wash the windows, inside and out. Repair any holes or tears in screens
9. Power-wash the house exterior, driveway, walkway, steps, and porch until everything sparkles.
10. Dress up any imperfect planting area with mulch.

1. Get pre-qualified. Look into your loan options, different lenders, and the different types of loans there are, and choose which one is the best for you. Also, look at your credit score and improve it if needed.
2. Know your budget. Know your budget and account for all the expenses you need for home ownership (the down payment, closing costs, and escrow for insurance and taxes). Be realistic about what your budget is and what you can afford.
3. Make a wishlist. Decide what you want in a home. Make a wishlist, but keep an open mind as well. After I show you a few houses, reevaluate your wishlist and decide which items are the most important for you to have in your home.
4. Do your research. Keep your future in mind while planning to buy your house. Look at the area and community surrounding it. Do some research to find out if that area you like has everything you need (a good school system, recreational centers, etc.)
5. Hire a Realtor. You need a compassionate professional who will help guide you through this process of buying a home. I would love to assist you in finding the home of your dreams.
