📰🎯Green Pond Landing’s amphitheater is taking center stage following the substantial completion of a power and lighting project today, March 6, 2026, enhancing the venue’s capabilities for concerts, community events, and performances.
As the sun sets this evening, new harbor lights will shine down, and into the night for the first time at Anderson County’s premier fishing tournament facility on Lake Hartwell. The drive-thru weigh-in road and amphitheater upgrade is further complimented by several power pedestal installations to support stage, trailer, and event needs.
“This will eliminate the need for on-site generators, lighting the way for a variety of future events like theater,”—Rusty Burns, Anderson County Administrator
Green Pond Landing is host to approximately 50 tournaments/events a year, with local, national, and international impact: including an economic impact nearing $110 million dollars to date.
Anderson County would like to thank and credit the Undiscovered SC grant program through SCPRT for their continued partnership and funding.
“Green Pond Landing is a fishing-first facility with big dreams and big plans. The return of the Bassmaster Classic, for the 5th time in 2027 is its testimony.”—Matt Schell, Anderson County Parks Manager
The first tournaments to launch under the lights and power this weekend are the Tucker Hipps Memorial Bass Tournament and the 5 Alive Tournament Series.
