Oh what a difference a lil curb appeal makes! Me and T got some bales pine straw, a couple of flower pots, blocks, some leftover paint, a trellis, a LiL creativity and went to work! It was actually lethargic-some “yard medicine”! Really proud of the results afterwards too! Most importantly we got more activity and lookers interested in buying!!

Its SUPER Critical you really know EVERYTHING about your projects! This discovery was not meant to embarrass the drywall/frame guy - its just another part of paying attention to the small details, setting a standard during construction, and OWNING every part of your renovation!
YES--- the switch was removed, but the box and wires were "live" behind the wall! We fixed it of course

Learning Lesson:: Sometimes You need to Let the Professionals Do What They Do Best!
OR if you don't want to pay for the service,
AT least take pics OF THE HOUSE, not just pics IN the house!
Driving around looking at properties and stumbled on this house. It had a for sale by owner (FSBO) sign and we THOUGHT it was a foreclosure or handyman! IT'S NOT!

Went online to find more details and I actually found these pics posted on Zillow/Trulia and a few others!
So much wrong here- AND its Overpriced about $30k for the neighborhood ( in good condition)

Shared on Instagram yesterday:: Always show-up on your projects! Contractor installed all windows w/exterior trim in 1 day. I showed up earlier wondering why the trim was on already- old siding and dry rot wood everywhere. My guts said he had to go, so I fired him! Enter new contractor: had to replace 100+ ft of framing & sealant. ♥️RE

Look closer at the 1st two pics (trim pieces are damaged/ripped; attached on top of old siding instead of incased)--- applications like this 1. won't last 2. will look like crap if you paint over it.

3rd pic: This was the worst of it but there was so much dry rot wood behind that siding. Base framing of the home.

I didn't ask the new contractor to do it - but pic #4 was sent by him to prove that he was sealing all of the windows correctly. This is PROOF that - if you set a clear STANDARD from the beginning, your TEAM will follow suite!
