Thank you ALL so much who paused in their Day to wish me a Happy Birthday yesterday. I read everyone of them!
As you can all see I was a New Years Baby and still am every year for 65 years now! Best gift I got yesterday was my brand new Medicare card!! lol. Which, those of you who know who are self employed, is a great gift!
I didn’t get to this age without learning a few things; These are things I’ve learned
1. Work is not work if you enjoy and love what you do. Doesn’t mean you will enjoy it everyday but when you think of it as a whole you will love what you do
2. Take chances. Start a business. Never be afraid to go out on your own. It will be scary but eventually it is a fear you’ve overcome
3. Never be afraid to Love no matter how much you’ve been hurt in the past. There may have been “one soul mate” but there are many loves to find
4. Nurture your relationships with your family and friends. Be the friend to everyone that you want in return. But always remember and never be disappointed that in every relationship one is always more of a giver and that person may be you and be ok with that.
5. Wake up every day and seek to be happy. This isn’t easy. (Trust me I know). You will have many heartaches and struggles throughout your life. Some people more than others 🙋🏼♀️. Happiness is a choice you make everyday
6. This too shall pass. What ever you are going through now. It will pass. You will probably always have a scar, sometimes a large one, but always choose to be the learner and not a victim. NEVER be a victim
7. Have a hobby. Whether it be reading, gardening, painting, boating, biking, traveling, etc. Enjoy life!
8. Always be Thankful. Look around you and be thankful for what you have. Not what you don’t have.
9. Be Humble. Or trust me, God will humble you. Humility is one of the most attractive qualities in humans. That along with a smile (see number 5)
10. Never stop learning. You are never too old to learn something new. When you stop learning or stop having Dreams then you will truly be old. Never stop
