I started in REI part time, working at a REI Brokerage Firm as a wholesaler in 2003. In 2007, I jumped in full time at the beginning of The Great Recession. From 2007-2011, I founded and ran a short sale negotiating company for 4 years. You should 100% by the land and make it cash flow for you. There’s so much opportunity right now in creating something absolutely amazing and inviting from… DIRT. Not only can you grow your own food, raise cute animals and create a life of sustainability like our grandparents and great grandparents did… but you can create amazing income while doing it simultaneously🙌🏻

What feels the MOST overwhelming to you during a renovation? 👀

First of all, I probably wouldn’t recommend starting with a 42-foot fifth wheel for your first RV renovation 😂 but here we are.

One thing I’ve learned is that painting is definitely a learned art. I can’t even tell you how bad I sucked when I first started compared to what I’m doing now. 😂 And I have SO many little tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way that I want to start sharing for anyone thinking about tackling their own project.

But this video is really about two things: creating the right space for the work you’re doing and NOT letting the entire project overwhelm you.

When we first started, we began with painting all these cabinet doors and drawers on the floor, and it just wasn’t working. Moving everything onto tables and creating an actual workspace made a HUGE difference.

The same thing applies to the renovation itself.

As much as possible, I recommend working room by room and actually FINISHING the room before jumping to the next thing.

In construction, we always joke that punch out takes the longest. 😂

Those last little details that make something finally DONE somehow take 10x longer than you think they will.

But especially when you’re doing something like this for the first time, finish them anyway because every time you can look at one room and say, “That’s DONE,” something changes.

You stop looking around at everything you still have left to do and start seeing everything you’ve already accomplished and there’s something pretty damn satisfying about looking at something you had no idea how to do when you started and realizing…I figured it out & didn’t quit& I actually did that. 🙌

Hi, I’m Candi👋🏻. I’ve been a Real Estate Investor full-time since 2007. I’ve flipped hundreds of homes, built, multimillion dollar mansions & I even did a pilot for HGTV. If you missed yesterday’s post about my encounter with a terrifying black widow, go back and watch it. Yesterday I had only my Black Flag wasp killer and that did not work on the spider but today I came prepared for war!

PS: I am doing the black flag stance for every woman in the world right now who is single & doesn’t have a man to take care of these things for her… AND… is absolutely terrified of wasps nest, poisonous spiders, and all things scary insects😅

Black flag is having a huge sale through the end of August. 2 cans for $10! Typically these cans are about $8-$10 apiece. I literally just got 8 cans! Might go back for more! Go get you some!

Ladies, the very first time I used Black Flag 🏴 was to take down a huge wasp nest right outside of my RV and it worked better than I could’ve ever imagined!!!

I’m a single female who owns 20 acres. I’ve learned a lot…. I’ve become pretty hands-on . I can take care of the land, I can fix certain things when they break, I can take care of the animals out here, I’m even renovating my first RV… but I really need a man to come take care of all of the flying insects, the spiders, the ants, the snakes and all the critters😭
