The decision was made to minimize, become mortgage free, and move closer to family. ▪️We listed their home and started house hunting. It became glaringly apparent that finding a place as special as theirs while staying in the planned budget would be tough. ▪️Their response to that truth is a lesson for all of us. They didn’t let their frustration stop them from taking action….we continued to search. ▪️Then they found the perfect 100 yr old farmhouse minutes from family only to have their offer turned away because of the contingency of selling their home first. ▪️Though disappointed, they pressed on in making adjustments to get their home sold asap. And boy did it! The buyer agreed to their price IF they could sell and move in TWO weeks because she also was selling and had a deadline to move!▪️We immediately made an offer on their perfect 100 yr old “new” home and it was accepted! ▪️Then the magic happened. Three homes selling back to back to back in two weeks time with coinciding inspections, appraisals, closings and move outs took six homeowners working together and trusting their agents to keep the process moving in the right direction. And they did and we did. ▪️ So the obvious lesson is stay calm, work the plan, and hire an agent you trust to give you the best advice but that’s not the lesson that came to mind when they sent me this picture.▪️ Through all the frustration and disappointments their joy remained. Their faith and hope on their next step remained the same. Heck, there were times when they reminded me it would all work out! They trusted GOD with their days and the plan and that’s why the joy remained regardless of unfruitful house searches, denied offers, or tough inspections. ▪️ And now they have the white picket fence in front of their very very special 100 yr old “new” home to fill with more days of joyful living.
