Here’s the truth ⬇️

Most first-time buyers only need around 3% down. Add in another ~3% for closing costs and you’re looking at about 6% total saved (not the giant 20% you always hear about).

Examples:
🏡 $350,000 home → about $21,000 to get you to the closing table
🏡 $550,000 home → about $33,000 total.

If you’re thinking about buying—whether it’s this year or in 2026—it’s never too early to know what it actually takes. The sooner you know your numbers, the easier it is to make a confident move when the right home pops up.
