There's no shortage of content covering Atlanta. Midtown, Buckhead, the BeltLine — those places have plenty of attention. The communities along the top end of I-285 are a different story.

Top End ATL is a hyperlocal media brand covering Dunwoody, Chamblee, Brookhaven, Doraville, Peachtree Corners, Sandy Springs, Norcross, etc — the cities that make up the northern arc of the Perimeter. It launched in November 2025 with a simple goal: cover this part of Atlanta the way it deserves to be covered. New developments, restaurant openings, community events, local history. No politics, no crime, no negativity.

The channel started because of personal roots. Matt Weber has been covering Dunwoody since 2018 through his What's Up Dunwoody media brand. But the Top End is where I live, and it's bigger than one city. My wife grew up in Chamblee, my boys go to school in Peachtree Corners, years of living in Brookhaven before settling in Dunwoody, I grew up in Gwinnett. These communities are all important to me, and this channel is a great way for ME to learn about them as well.

Thanks for being here. Please tell me if I can ever help you with anything.

Assembly Studios in Doraville just found a creative new use for their sound stages — and it involves wiffle ball.

Big League Wiffle Ball is America's first professional wiffle ball league, founded during COVID and now broadcasting live on ESPN+. Opening Day was June 7th, and every game this season is being played right here in Doraville at Assembly Studios — just off I-85 at the Top End of the Perimeter. With Georgia film production slowing down, Assembly is thinking outside the box, and this is the result.

The ownership group reads like a who's who. Gary Vaynerchuk, who has been one of the league's loudest supporters since the beginning, owns the New York Green Apples. The Atlanta Ballers are owned by Tony Robbins, Nelly, and Julio Jones. Dude Perfect owns the Dallas Pandas. Kevin Costner owns the LA Naturals. This league has real backing.

Can't make it in person? You can stream every game free on the BLW YouTube channel.

General admission tickets start at $7.50. VIP is $20, and you sit right behind home plate. It's an intimate venue inside a studio building — a rare chance to actually get inside Assembly Studios.

This 4th of July, Dunwoody is hosting something that only happens once in a lifetime.

The Dunwoody 4th of July Parade celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and it falls on the same summer America turns 250 years old and the FIFA World Cup is being played right here in Atlanta. The timing is remarkable. Presented by the Dunwoody Homeowners Association and Rough Draft Atlanta, this parade has grown into Georgia's largest Independence Day celebration, drawing the entire community out to Mt. Vernon Road every July 4th.

What a lot of people don't realize is that you can actually be part of the parade, not just watch it. Non-profit organizations participate at no cost, and businesses can enter for $150. For local businesses, there is no better place to put your name in front of this community on one of the biggest days of the year.

The parade steps off at 9am from the intersection of Mt. Vernon Road and Jett Ferry Road, winds 2.7 miles through Dunwoody, and finishes with a festival in Dunwoody Village starting around 11:30am. If you want to participate, registration information is available on the Dunwoody Homeowners Association website.

The Top End of Atlanta is showing up for the World Cup, and there are some great spots to watch the games close to home.

Funwoody in the Dunwoody Village has been one of the best watch party experiences around, with big screen viewing, food from local restaurants, and real energy from the community. CT Cantina and Taqueria in Dunwoody is another solid option all tournament long. High Street in Dunwoody kicks off watch parties starting June 15. Over in Chamblee, Plaza Fiesta is hosting free watch parties starting June 21 with big screens, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. Tucker Brewing in Tucker is running their World Soccer Watch Party Series all tournament. In Peachtree Corners, the Kick it in the Nnett Watch Party at Peachtree Corners Town Center is set for July 7 for the Round of 16. And for a bigger event experience, ATL Fútbol Fest at Assembly Atlanta runs June 26th and 27th with a big screen, food, and a family zone.

Drop your favorite watch party spot in the comments so others can find it too.

Podcast 331 - Dunwoody's Insider Summer Guide, From the 50th Parade to the World Cup - Mark Galvin

After watching the U.S. beat Paraguay in the 2026 FIFA World Cup — one of the most historic wins in U.S. soccer history — the energy around Dunwoody this summer is electric. Mark Galvin of Discover Dunwoody came on the podcast already pumped about the World Cup, and it's easy to see why: local restaurants are setting up watch parties all over town and the whole community is fired up.

High Street is expanding fast, Perimeter Mall is getting its biggest overhaul in years, and a brand new tearoom at Park Place just opened that Mark says rivals anything in Atlanta. Dunwoody is quietly leveling up, and this conversation is the fastest way to catch up.

If you're looking for something fun to do with your kids, I got early access to Thrillz in Doraville, an indoor adventure park near Assembly Atlanta with trampolines, zip lines, and 35-foot slides. We also grabbed tickets to Big League Wiffle Ball at Assembly, backed by Gary Vee, Kevin Costner, Tony Robbins, TI, and Julio Jones. It might be the most fun $7 you'll spend this summer.

All of that plus the 50th Dunwoody 4th of July Parade, where Discover Dunwoody is bringing the trolley and handing out red, white, and blue soccer balls. Fifty years. Follow Discover Dunwoody on Instagram to stay on top of everything happening this summer.

This home in Chamblee sits near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with very little through traffic, yet you’re just minutes from some of Atlanta’s largest employers, I-85, Dresden Park, and Buford Highway’s incredible restaurant scene.

Inside, you’ll find a flexible floor plan with multiple living spaces, hardwood floors, plenty of natural light, and room to work, relax, or entertain.
The deck, mature trees, and extra green space let you get outside and chill. That’s hard to find this close to the city.

4 bedrooms | 2.5 baths

Close to everything! You’re less than a mile from I-285 and Peachtree Industrial, but once you turn into the neighborhood, you’d never know it. This Chamblee home offers quick access to Assembly Atlanta, Downtown Chamblee, and MARTA while still feeling tucked away among mature trees and established homes.

Add a private backyard, a large deck, and a flexible ranch floorplan, and you’ve got a property that’s been a great investment over the years and could make an excellent place to call home.

Who's behind What's Up Dunwoody?

I'm Matt Weber, a Dunwoody resident since 2010, a local REALTOR®, and the guy behind most of the content you see here.

When I got into real estate, I decided I'd rather spend my time helping people learn about the community than constantly telling them why they should hire me. That's where What's Up Dunwoody came from.

What started as a podcast in 2018 has grown into a website, Facebook communities, social media channels, and hundreds of conversations about the people, businesses, events, and neighborhoods that make Dunwoody special.

I've always believed that if you consistently provide value and show up for your community, people will remember it when they need help. Whether you're moving to Dunwoody, moving within Dunwoody, or have lived here for years, my goal is simple: help people feel more connected to the place they call home.

Thanks for being here.

Matt Weber has lived in Dunwoody North since 2010 and has spent 15 years getting to know this community from the inside. He's not just an agent — he's the host of What's Up Dunwoody, co-chair of the 4th of July Parade, and what people around here call the Digital Mayor. If you're buying or selling...

What exactly is What's Up Dunwoody?

If you're new here, welcome.

What's Up Dunwoody started as a podcast in 2018 when we realized Dunwoody had incredible people, businesses, and stories that weren't being covered anywhere else. What began with a couple of microphones has grown into a website, two Facebook communities, 330+ podcast episodes, and a daily source for local news, events, restaurant recommendations, and everything happening around town.

The goal has always been simple: help people stay connected to Dunwoody and discover things they might have otherwise missed.

If you've found a new restaurant, learned about a local event, gotten a recommendation from a neighbor, or felt a little more connected to the community because of this page, then it's doing exactly what we hoped it would do.

And maybe most importantly, we've always tried to add a little positivity to the community by highlighting the people, businesses, and stories that make Dunwoody a great place to live.

Thanks for being here.

What's Up Dunwoody is Dunwoody's hyperlocal podcast, website, and community hub. Over 330 episodes and 30,000 members since 2018.
