Congratulations to Executive Director, Kayla Cook and her husband, Travis Cook, on the birth of their son, Henry C**t. Born last night, September 17th, at 7:58pm. 8lbs.

Benny Bohanon, Superintendent at Terri Pines Country Club and long-time member of the Alabama Turfgrass Association and Alabama GCSA has endured some heart-wrenching struggles as of late.

Benny has been quite sick lately but is devoted to push through to take care of his wife, Darlene, who is recovering from pancreatic cancer surgery just two weeks ago.

On top of their health conditions, their 10-year-old grandson, Fischer Hughes, passed away Tuesday night unexpectedly. Fischer was autistic and required parental care all his life. Benny’s daughter, Michelle, devoted her life to his care while her husband, Tyler, worked to keep up with not only household expenses but medical expenses.

The entire family is very humble and genuinely wonderful people. Friends have set up a Go Fund Me account to help with funeral expenses for Fischer. If you are willing and able to give, we know this sweet family will be very appreciative.
