Recently we came across the idea to start a tiny home business. Not on a whim but there is nostalgia for my dad when it comes to home building. I’m the oldest of 7 and as you know kids can be an expensive venture. The solution to this for my parents was starting their own custom home building company. The first home they built was the one we lived in, then the second. And pretty soon they built up to 9 homes. My dad was pretty successful at it being the perfectionist he is. Eventually as all things go up they came down. As many people know how terrible the 2008 financial crisis was especially for construction. This is where their business ended and my dads dream. Here we are many years later and not only do I want to help my dads dream come back again but we want to also help solve economic problems regarding affordable living. We’ve decided to partner with and use their product and expertise in not only coming under their wings to learn but also help provide the industry a good quality product.

This is a tour we did of TrailerMadeTrailers warehouse. We’ve decided we’d be using their product of building the entire shell of the tiny home starting out from the trailer to the insulation, framing, siding and windows, then my dad can take over all the pretty stuff on the inside.
