People try to take advantage of option periods to negotiate a lower price or get as much in seller paid closing costs as they can.

Make them prove what they’re asking for! Get specific inspection pages and multiple bids from contractors to make sure you’re not getting taken advantage of.

Most of the time you’ll find what they’re asking for is wildly inflated and they’re just trying to get a discount.

Has the Austin market hit a bottom?

It sure looks like it when looking at market stats!

Prices flat, closed sales up, months of inventory flat.

Hopefully we see this continue and prices start inching up here soon!

We’re already seeing rents stabilize so expect those to start going up in the next 12-18 months as supply gets absorbed.
