I’m blown away. What an unbelievable honor to be named Austin’s Broker of the Year.
It takes a village to reach heights like these. I have so many people to thank, from friends to family, from brokers to educators, to ABOR staff to fellow board directors, so many wonderful individuals have played a part in this journey.
I’ll never forget that phone call with my dad as I was driving home from work in 2016, unhappy with my job and unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. He said I’d make a great Realtor, that I already had the skills needed to excel in that career, even though at that time I knew nothing about it.
I guess he was right.
To all the clients who have trusted me along the way, to my original broker Meghan, who trained me and sponsored me for six years, to all of the educators who have continued my education, to the TRLP class of 2020 (we are crushing it!), to my agents who trust me to be the best sponsoring broker I can be, thank you.
To my mother and my aunt Cindy, who drove down from Waco for the awards gala, yet again proving that the Mullens family always shows up for each other. I wouldn’t be here without their love and support over the course of my entire life.
To my ride or die Phylicia Gaston, whose idea it was to open the brokerage in the first place. We’ve been through thick and thin for over half of our lives now, and somehow things just keep getting better and better. We just keep outdoing ourselves and I am here for it. Thank you for always being right there by my side.
We don’t know how long we have on this Earth, or how many times we’ll get to celebrate things like this, so I’m going to bask in this one for a little while.
Honored. Humbled. Grateful for the ability to serve in this role. Thanks everybody. Good night.
