Happy birthday to the man that lit the fire under me to pursue the wild creatures of this country and instilled in me the the importance of conservation. from first turkeys to first deer to helping me build the courage to start my own business doing what I love he has been there the whole way. We may not get to spend as much time in the spring woods together as we used to, but every hunt I go on that he’s not a part of he is the first person that hears about the hunt. Happy birthday Dad!

Haven’t posted much lately! Been a busy month! Was able to slip away this afternoon between storms and catch one strutting with hens. Got the whole flock when in 20 yards and ended up getting him. 1” 1/4 spurs 9” beard and 1”1/2 beard!

This is the importance of predator management on properties right here! I’ve had countless conversations and even experienced a few situations with bobcats and coyotes. Coming to Turkey calls in the spring! Most people think that going to a property on opening day of Turkey season and hunting is all that they have to do! Wrong!! There is way more that needs to go on. From proper habitat and timber stand improvements as well as trapping!
