April 1st is the last day to donate to March Mattress Madness supporting Community Warehouse, a Portland area furniture bank helping people in partnership with other community organizations, transition into housing.

Something amazing happened last week: because of the momentum of this campaign, for the first time ever, Community Warehouse was able to negotiate 800 brand new mattresses for $40 (previously $125 to them). In 2024, they furnished 3,424 homes! The need for mattresses is huge.

Any donation amount is helpful, but $40 purchases a new mattress for a neighbor transitioning into housing from domestic violence, aging out of foster care, etc.! For donating, you'll get a special invitation to a party after hours at Kitchen Kaboodle Hillsboro on April 10th with food, beverages, raffles, and a shopping discount!

I’m looking forward to offering some guidance and tips at this class to people pondering selling or buying houses this year. It’s been a minute since I’ve done a first time homebuyers workshop and the feedback from those was that they were interesting and helpful. This is similar but will help buyers understand a bit of the seller mindset and sellers understand a bit of the buyer mindset in today’s market. I’m celebrating 5 years in business today with a throwback photo to 2021 when I had my first listing. The front door lock broke during the middle of the open house 😂🤷‍♀️ so guests had to come through the garage before Tyler, (aka before he opened his construction business) came to save the day.

Oh the memories that flood back when I think about all the silly stories and lessons I’ve learned in these past 5 years. Since I’ve been in business, I’ve had the honor of helping a little over 5️⃣0️⃣ families with their real estate stories. 🥰 And, this business has allowed me the flexibility to serve in volunteer roles that give back to the community, spend quality time with my family (dogs included!), and make quality memories with friends. As another agent in my office who I dearly look up to put it recently, “[I’m] really living life!” Yes, yes I am. And it feels so good to have found a way to earn a good living all while living a fulfilling life.

🙏 Thank you to all of you who have cheered me on along the way, dropped my name when real estate comes up, sent me referrals, and have trusted me to represent you through some of life’s biggest moves. It has been an honor and I wouldn’t be where I am today without your support. ❤️

As rewarding as it is to hand over keys to buyers once they’ve made it through the home buying journey, I also LOVE listing homes for sale. The strategizing, the coordination of preparation, and especially the all-out marketing that I enjoy doing for my clients.
