Summiting Mt. Baker at dawn!

Almost the entirety of the climb is performed under the veil of darkness, or more accurately stated, during the absence of sunlight. It is difficult to describe how special it is when you hit the weather window perfectly. Nothing but moonlight reflecting on the snow. You hardly need your headlamp! -But still bring your headlamp cause crevasses are real.
...Yeah, yeah Colorado has +14k footers everywhere. But 10,786' feels tall when you can see the saltwater! Which is 0 ft. 😆

SKI-TO-SEA 2024 race results: Team #16 "Colony Wharf" finishing 19th OVERALL out of 503 teams registered.
Placing 9th in Competitive Open Division. Way to go team!
Almost everything has to go correctly on race day in order to finish this well. No flat tires on the bikes, wipe outs on skis and NO capsizing in the canoe or kayak legs! No, this wasn't a podium finish, but the top teams are often comprised of professional level athletes so this felt pretty good to us! Thank you to my teammates for setting me up so well to finish the last leg of the race in style🏁

Shopping for the PERFECT weekend getaway vacation cabin was an absolute blast! I had so much fun cabin hunting with this young power couple and their kiddo. We found just the right one, close to Mt. Baker, the river, and what seems like ENDLESS hiking options. ❤
