I look forward to this event every year. The heritage Rose group puts on a celebration of old roses in Albany. Admission is free you can hang out with Rose experts and see lots of unusual old roses. My favorite thing is the Unknown table where people bring in roses that they are trying to identify. I brought in my mystery rose, but nobody knew what it was. Maybe you can guess. It's a vibrant pink rose with white stripes, repeat blooming, about 7 feet tall and it was planted 30 years ago.

The Celebration of Old Roses is put on every year by the Heritage Rose Group. It's a great opportunity to meet Rose experts and see lots of beautiful old roses on display. My favorite table is the Unknown, where you can bring a rose in and other people will help you identify it. No luck for me today. I still don't have a clue on what this rose is that Scot planted 30+ years ago . Maybe you know?

Admission is free and it's always on the Sunday after Mother's Day. I love this really special free event and it's been going on for 40 years.
